Breakfast at the enchanting garden was the cherry on top—think delightful pastries and a lovely vegan section! Plus, the place oozes history. the original convent vibe is a total win! Really, the staff had us feeling right at home, like we were just sipping espresso in our own Italian abode.
The dining vibes can feel a bit lacking since there's no proper restaurant for those rainy Roman days, just some tables in a corridor. And our room was snug, making it tricky for us to cozy up together.

I had previously stayed twice at Donna Camilla Savelli and knew what to expect. The hotel is a stunning historical building, a converted 17th-century church. The accommodations felt luxurious, and the breakfast in the garden was a real treat. Location in Trastevere is great. close to major attractions and the vibe is lively yet calm at night. The staff was generally helpful and accommodating, though my first room was extremely small and didn't meet my expectations. Luckily, after a quick request, I was moved to a much better room. It wasn’t facing the garden as promised but overlooked neighboring roofs. One evening, there were issues with bag assistance, leading to some frustration. However, the hotel’s beauty and the kindness of the dining staff made up for these inconveniences. The stay was enjoyable overall, mostly due to the charming atmosphere and great location, despite the minor issues I encountered.

The stunning property really impressed our family, with highlights like the beautiful gardens, amazing decor, and the fascinating history of the place. We also enjoyed a delightful wine tasting in the ancient Grotta Romana beneath the hotel, which added a unique touch to our stay.
My wife says that the breakfast options for families could definitely be improved, as we expected more variety and quality. They could have provided healthier and more enjoyable food for a family-friendly experience.
